Biographies

Janey Cooley
Senior Vice President & Senior Trust Officer

Janey has worked in trust management since 1973. Prior to joining First American Bank and Trust Company in 1997, Janey was employed by a regional bank's local trust department and a local CPA firm. Janey is the manager of the department and has direct responsibility for personal trust administration and estate administration. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor's degree in accounting. She is active in various civic, charitable and religious organizations.

Kemp Gaskill, CFP^®, CTFA
Vice President & Trust Officer

Kemp has worked in trust management since 1996. Prior to joining First American Bank and Trust Company in 2006, Kemp worked with a regional bank based in North Carolina.  A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelor's degree in economics, he has earned a Trust Certificate from Campbell University and holds both a Certified Financial Planner^TM certification and Certified Trust and Financial Adviser designation. His current responsibilities include business development and trust administration.  He is a member of the Classic City Rotary Club and is a Board Member and Board Treasurer for Sandy Creek Nature Center.  He also serves on the Executive Board of the Northeast Georgia Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

Jackie Bishoff
Vice President & Trust Officer

Jackie has worked in trust management since 1986.  Prior to joining First American Bank and Trust Company in 2009, Jackie was employed by a regional bank’s local trust department specializing in personal trust and estate administration.  Over the years, she has worked in personal trust, corporate trust and employee benefits.  She is a graduate of West Virginia University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.  She serves as an elder of Commerce Presbyterian Church and actively participates in Jefferson City Schools where her children attend.  She is also on the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross - East Georgia Chapter and on the board of the Friends of Athens Creative Theater.

Beth has worked in trust management since 1975. Prior to joining First American Bank and Trust Company in 1997, Beth worked with a regional bank's local trust department. Beth's responsibilities include assisting with trust operations.
